Daliworks, an Internet of Things (IoT) platform company, is entering the global market through IoT communication technologies such as LoRa and Sigfox, laying the groundwork for a variety of IoT services including remote meter reading. Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee) announced on the 13th that it recently began integrating its IoT platform with Sigfox. Sigfox is a French company with IoT network technology; able to build IoT networks that exchange small volumes of data at low power, it is drawing attention worldwide. Daliworks expects the collaboration with Sigfox to yield new IoT products and services around October.

Thingplus is platform software (SW) that collects, aggregates, analyzes, transmits, and visualizes IoT data in one place. Leveraging cloud technology, it reduces costs and significantly shortens deployment time. For these reasons, adoption is growing not only among established service providers but also among IoT startups. Thingplus efficiently stores and analyzes data collected from multiple devices, then delivers optimized information. It can link readings from an indoor temperature sensor with air-conditioner operation, or send photos automatically captured when an intruder is detected straight to the user’s smartphone. It is well suited to energy efficiency management as well as the systematic management and operation of buildings, IT equipment, and home appliances.

Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee) announced on the 15th that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Actility, a French Internet of Things (IoT) specialist, while participating in the economic delegation marking the 130th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic relations. Actility specializes in LoRa networks, a type of IoT technology, holds core server technology, and leads related international standards. It provides ThingPark, a cloud service for IoT.

One booth displayed an Apple MacBook, the staple of the developer world, alongside an array of small devices fitted with various sensors and actuators. It was the exhibition space of Daliworks, an IoT startup already featured several times in the Korean press. Daliworks’ core business is a platform service called Thing+ (Thingplus), and the boards and bundles of wires on the demo table were there to prove the service’s practical potential.

Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee) will exhibit in the dedicated Internet of Things (IoT) hall at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2016), which opens in Barcelona, Spain, on the 22nd. In this hall, introduced for the first time this year, the company stands shoulder to shoulder with the world’s leading IoT companies. Daliworks’ flagship product is the IoT cloud platform ‘Thingplus’ (https://ThingPlus.net). Thingplus is an IoT analytics tool. It collects, analyzes, and presents data from IoT sensors, and it excels at visualizing that data for easy viewing on smart devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs. This work runs on Amazon’s cloud service, so there are no borders: IoT sensor data from the other side of the globe can be analyzed in Seoul.

IoT Platform ThingPlus
Under the agreement, the two companies will integrate Daliworks’ cloud-based IoT platform ‘Thingplus’ (ThingPlus, https://ThingPlus.net) with the more than 180 types of sensor devices that Korea Digital develops and manufactures. According to Daliworks, Korea Digital’s wide range of environmental monitoring sensors and industrial sensors will be deployed on the Thingplus platform. This is expected to enable a variety of IoT services in smart cities, facility environments, and smart factories. In particular, it is expected to help address facility environment monitoring and public safety issues, areas that draw strong interest from local governments.

Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee) announced on the 9th that it has successfully integrated its IoT platform ‘Thingplus’ with Qualcomm’s Internet of Things (IoT) Wi-Fi solution (QCA4002). This means the two devices are compatible as if they were one — in other words, Daliworks has become a Qualcomm IoT partner.
