Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee), a company specializing in Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, announced on the 23rd that it will provide its IoT cloud platform Thingplus (Thing+) to Ajou University for the university’s smart factory education program.

Thingplus collects data from a wide range of IoT sensors and stores it in the cloud. With simple rule settings, users can control systems and analyze sensor data, and the information is displayed on laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other IT devices. When Thingplus is applied to a production plant, operators can grasp a wide range of information at a glance, including temperature and humidity, air pollution levels, the status of equipment in each process, and energy usage. A key advantage is cost savings, as no separate system build-out is required.

Professor Jae-Hoon Kim of Ajou University’s Department of Industrial Engineering explained, “In a factory environment, IoT technology can be easily applied to check process conditions such as energy consumption and machine noise in real time. This is a great help in responding quickly when anomalies occur and in finding ways to improve process efficiency.”

Daliworks has already partnered with Sirea, a French factory automation company, to deliver Thingplus-based smart factory services in the European market. In the second half of this year, the company plans to launch smart factory services in collaboration with domestic factory automation companies.
