Under the direction of the Korea Data Agency, supply-side companies capable of selling data or providing processing services are recruited, and demand-side companies are screened and selected through an open call. The program aims to foster innovative companies that create new value through data-driven business, to drive industry growth, and to energize the data economy by supporting data utilization amid changing technology and market conditions.
Advantages of the Data Voucher
For small, mid-sized, and venture companies that lack the funds for in-house development and want to reduce the associated risks, the Data Voucher Program lowers the hurdle to digital transformation: the government covers a set amount of the cost of adopting data purchase and processing services.
Each company can receive up to KRW 45 million in project funding as a voucher, and the private co-payment is only around 10-25% depending on the company category, making this an excellent opportunity for any company that has been weighing digital transformation. The voucher reduces the burden of initial adoption costs, and companies can adopt verified services through supply-side companies recruited by the Korea Data Agency.
