Daliworks Exhibits at 2022 Korea ICT Expo in Japan
The 2022 Korea ICT Expo in Japan was held in Tokyo on November 30. Hosted by KOTRA, the event is an exhibition and business matchmaking session designed to help promising Korean ICT service companies enter Japan’s digital transformation (DX) market. It was a great opportunity for Korean ICT service companies hurrying to enter Japan’s digital transformation (DT/DX) market as pandemic restrictions lifted.
An ICT Exhibition Spreading K-Digital
Now in its 18th year, Korea ICT Expo in Japan was organized in collaboration with the Korea Software Industry Association, the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement, and NAVER Cloud, and was held in person for the first time in three years since the spread of COVID-19. The event brought together 53 Korean ICT and service companies pursuing entry into the Japanese market — spanning AI, security, healthcare, service platforms, fintech, robotics, e-commerce, and edtech — who helped build momentum for ICT service exports through exhibition and matchmaking sessions, seminars, and startup pitching.
Selected from more than 100 applicants, the participating Korean companies drew strong interest from Japanese ICT buyers, with some 80 online pre-consultations held over the week starting November 14. On the day of the event, November 30, around 350 on-site consultations took place with leading Japanese ICT companies of all sizes and venture capital firms, including KDDI, HITACHI, and SCSK.
In addition, 11 companies in AI, healthcare, service platforms, and edtech delivered IR pitches to SBI Investment, NEC, SoftBank, and others to promote their products and technologies and attract investment.
A Look at the Daliworks Booth at the ICT Expo

Collaborative Robot Remote Management Service
The collaborative robot remote management service streamlines robot management through monitoring and remote access, minimizing on-site customer service visits. With the service, you can connect anytime, anywhere over the internet to view a collaborative robot’s real-time status, operation data, and event logs for abnormal situations. For every collision detection and emergency stop that occurs during operation, it saves event log files and video from the moment of the incident, helping robot managers identify root causes and enabling engineers to provide remote CS support.

How the Japanese Market Responded to Thingplus
Many of the visitors who came to the Daliworks booth were looking for partners for digital transformation collaboration, and they responded positively to Daliworks’ experience delivering services overseas, including in Japan, and its broad portfolio of IoT service references. Thingplus also offers different commercial models depending on the customer (service subscription and product license), and the ability to choose based on each customer’s situation was another plus. The subscription model drew especially strong interest, as it lowers the digital transformation hurdle for small businesses that want to use only the features they need — selected as widgets — at a reasonable cost, without the burden of initial implementation or infrastructure management.
The exhibition gave us a chance to raise awareness of Daliworks and Thingplus in the Japanese market and glimpse new business opportunities. We saw firsthand Japan’s enthusiasm for digital transformation and its demand for IoT adoption, and confirmed that a wide range of business opportunities exist. Backed by our technology and service competitiveness, we are now planning a full-scale entry into the Japanese market.
Through the ICT expo, we met companies looking to start business in Japan together with Daliworks. Including the online consultation sessions, we held meetings with more than 10 local companies, and we are continuing those conversations and exploring collaboration. We hope to share news of the business we build in the Japanese market with the companies we met.
Starting with this exhibition, Daliworks will once again accelerate its push into the Japanese market.
