Sign MOU to Expand the Cloud Business for IoT Services

Naver Business Platform (NBP), a Naver subsidiary, announced on the 19th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with IoT platform specialist Daliworks for IoT-focused cloud business cooperation, launching a full-scale push to expand the market.
Under the agreement, the two companies will pursue joint marketing and business cooperation for technology exchange and market expansion across diverse IoT business areas. Thingplus, Daliworks’ cloud-based IoT platform, will be registered on Naver Cloud Platform, NBP’s enterprise cloud service.
Daliworks launched Thingplus, Korea’s first IoT cloud platform, in 2014, and is now expanding its market through IoT services centered on real-time monitoring and data analytics in business areas such as smart factories, smart buildings, and smart farms. Through partnerships with global companies including ARM, Dell, and Advantech, it is also advancing into global markets across Europe, North America, and Asia.
Through the agreement with Daliworks, NBP plans to build an infrastructure for IoT business cooperation and run joint marketing promotions to quickly secure references centered on IoT cloud services. The two companies will also carry out a variety of business cooperation programs to expand the cloud business for Daliworks’ key IoT services, including smart factory, smart building, and smart energy.
Daliworks CEO Soonho Lee cited service stability and the availability of global regions as the reasons for choosing Naver Cloud Platform.
Lee said, “We believed that NBP’s solid global infrastructure and extensive operational experience – it is responsible for the IT services of Naver and its affiliates – would go a long way toward ensuring the stable delivery of Thingplus. The IoT software market is expected to exceed 95 trillion KRW by 2022, and we anticipate that the Daliworks Thingplus platform will drive the expansion of the enterprise cloud market centered on IoT services.”
