Innogrid (www.innogrid.com) announced that it is building an IoT cloud platform with IoT specialist Daliworks (www.daliworks.net), combining its Korean-made cloud solution (Cloudit) with the IoT service (Thingplus) so that IoT services can be used easily and quickly anytime, anywhere.
Since the recent enforcement of Korea’s Cloud Computing Act, companies have shown strong interest in adopting IaaS cloud, the foundational layer of the entire ICT industry, and IoT demand has been growing as well — so Innogrid and Daliworks have been preparing a homegrown IoT cloud solution that combines the two. Enterprise customers adopting IoT will be able to solve everything at once with a single ‘IoT cloud solution,’ without having to worry about a separate cloud deployment.
Going forward, the massive databases collected through the IoT cloud will also become available for big data analysis. Through this business alliance, the two companies plan to strengthen their B2B IoT business around the enterprise IoT cloud in areas such as manufacturing, devices, telecommunications, the public sector, and finance.

After building the IoT cloud platform, Innogrid will use Smart Innovation’s fintech technology and its big data platform partner Gruter to rapidly analyze the large databases collected through cloud-based IoT-fintech, processing high volumes of data with GDT (Gruter Distribution of Tajo), powered by the Apache Tajo engine.
Innogrid and Daliworks expect that as the cloud ecosystem continues to develop, market dominance will depend on who connects more things and how well the collected databases can be analyzed. Going beyond machine learning and deep learning, they plan to collect real-time databases through cloud infrastructure and IoT-fintech, analyze them as big data, and evolve into smart machines that provide optimal conditions for companies in different environments and circumstances.
