Korean Venture Breaks into Spain’s IoT Market… Daliworks,

A Korean venture company providing an Internet of Things (IoT) platform is entering Spain. It is rare for a small company to break into overseas markets in IoT, a field drawing attention as the next-generation communications market. Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee) announced on the 24th that it has been selected as a cloud service partner of ‘Libelium (libelium),’ a premium Spanish IoT equipment maker. When data generated by Libelium IoT devices is collected at a gateway device, it is delivered to customer terminals via the cloud. Libelium’s cloud service partners include global companies such as Microsoft and Telefonica. Daliworks is the first from Asia.

Daliworks processes data in the ‘Meshlium-to-customer-terminal’ segment with its own cloud platform, Thingplus (Thing+). Since the company receives Thingplus royalties each time IoT equipment is installed, the partnership is expected to help grow revenue as well. Selected as a Libelium online sales partner too, Daliworks has gained an opportunity to enter the global cloud market. The company expects more than one million premium IoT devices to be sold this year.

Libelium is a promising IoT company that was named a Gartner ‘Cool Vendor’ last year. In February this year, it was selected by Postscapes as a ‘most notable IoT company.’

Daliworks is an IoT platform venture that has won recognition abroad before home, having signed a contract in April to supply Thingplus to France’s ‘Sirea.’ It has pioneered overseas markets through exhibitions and plans to focus on expanding its global partnerships at the Smart City Expo held in Barcelona, Spain, in November.
