Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee, www.daliworks.net) took part in the ‘2014 IoT Korea Exhibition (IoT Korea 2014)’, held for three days from Wednesday the 5th to Friday the 7th at COEX as part of ‘2014 Internet of Things Promotion Week’, and unveiled ‘Thing+’, the first Internet of Things cloud service in Korea.
Using hardware connected to the ‘Thing+’ cloud together with the ‘Thing+’ portal, anyone can build their own IoT service quickly and easily, and the cloud environment enables stable, highly scalable service delivery. In addition, users can compose their own dashboards with a variety of widgets, receive real-time notifications and control devices through simple rule settings, and monitor, control, and analyze their systems in real time with graph-based sensor data analysis.
Currently, a partner company called Dasol provides freezer and cold storage monitoring services in the Brazilian market based on the ‘Thing+’ cloud, and in Korea, Daliworks is preparing ‘Thing+’-based IoT services together with partners in a variety of areas, including greenhouse and livestock facility management as well as building and store management.
‘Thing+’, developed by Daliworks, is significant in that the company has secured proprietary technology for IoT cloud platforms, and it is expected to contribute to invigorating IoT services in Korea going forward.
Meanwhile, ‘Internet of Things Promotion Week’ is an event co-hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and co-organized by eight IoT-related institutions, including the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) and the Korea Electronics Association (KEA), to maximize interest and participation in the Internet of Things among the general public and companies and to promote it effectively.
Held as part of the two-week ‘Internet of Things Promotion Week’ running from Wednesday the 5th to Friday the 14th, the exhibition brought together 144 companies from 9 countries, including Cisco, SK Telecom, and KT, showcasing a wide range of IoT products and solutions across a total of 290 booths.
