Daliworks Fall Hike & Team Dinner

Daliworks Fall Hike & Team Dinner

Our Approach to Living with COVID

With the Living with COVID policy taking effect on November 1, the quarantine rules were newly revised. The cap on private gatherings in the Seoul metropolitan area was eased to 10 people, so Daliworks could finally hold the team dinner we had been putting off! Two new faces have joined Daliworks since July, and we were truly delighted to share this dinner together!

Care to join us for the Daliworks fall team dinner in November 2021?

The Namsan Trail

At 4:30 in the afternoon, we set down everything we were working on and left the office early. Isn’t the best team dinner the one that starts with an early finish?

Daliworks hikes Namsan every spring and fall. Being located in Chungmuro, we can always see Namsan on our commute and even take walks there at lunchtime, one of the charms of working at Daliworks. Today, though, we set out to climb the mountain properly.

Throughout the roughly one-hour hike, we breathed in the crisp fall air and took in the beautiful scenery. Namsan turning red and gold with autumn leaves was truly a sight. It was wonderful to soak up the mood of the season.

We took a group photo, too, and having Namsan Tower in the background is an absolute must! We hope the day we can go maskless comes soon.

Delicious Samgyeopsal

For the long-awaited team dinner, we wondered how we could satisfy every member of the team, but the menu was settled quickly. One of our PDs made a forceful case that it had to be samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly). His pick turned out to be excellent!

We discovered a hidden gem of a restaurant. Even on the way there we kept wondering how anyone ever finds this place, and we actually had to call because we couldn’t find it.

Both the plain samgyeopsal and the gochujang samgyeopsal were delicious. The meat comes pre-seared, which saves grilling effort and keeps oil from splattering, making it easy to eat. Everyone ate their fill of meat, but we couldn’t pass up the fried rice. Fried rice is the Korean dessert! Be sure to order it. It’s a flavor that never fails.

Seoulista

Round two: craft beer! Seoulista is a cafe-pub brand near Seoul Station where you can enjoy coffee brewed from your choice of beans and craft beer at the same time. With a wide range of dishes to pair, we got to enjoy the pleasures of drinking and eating all at once.

It had been so long since our last gathering that everyone was buzzing with excitement at this fall team dinner.

Only two months remain in 2021. Daliworks is working to finish 2021 strong and prepare for new beginnings. Keep watching us! We’ll be back with our next post. Thank you.
