Daliworks (CEO Soonho Lee), an Internet of Things platform company, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with IoT startup n.thing (CEO Hyeyun Kim) to develop new Internet of Things services for smart farming.

Under the MOU, Daliworks will provide ‘Thingplus’ (Thing+), its IoT cloud platform for building Internet of Things services, while n.thing will develop new hardware for smart farm services. Through this partnership, the two companies plan to cooperate in delivering Thingplus-based smart farm services.

Both companies share the view that the most important part of the smart farm business starts with accurately understanding the growing environment. To achieve this, they agreed on the need to connect a wide variety of sensor devices to an IoT cloud platform. The many sensors installed in a smart farm environment are managed in real time on the Thingplus cloud platform, and big data analysis of growth-related data makes it possible to create a growing environment optimized for each individual crop.

Soonho Lee, CEO of Daliworks, said, “Through this MOU, Daliworks and n.thing plan to launch combined device-and-platform services that respond to diverse market needs.
