Daliworks at the IoT Korea Exhibition 2018

September 17, 2018, Seoul, Daliworks

Last week, Daliworks showcased its IoT platform Thing+ at the IoT Korea Exhibition 2018.
Alongside the Thingplus platform, we presented this year’s four key IoT solutions built on Thingplus – smart factory, farm, building, and energy – using the actual hardware supplied and UI screens together with real service cases, making the IoT platform and solutions easy to understand and true to life.

The verticals Daliworks presented are as follows.

Smart Factory

– Line Management Solution (LMS): A solution that connects to production line equipment via PLC, combined with data from environmental sensors mounted outside the line, to collect, monitor, and control process, quality, and production information

– Product Monitoring Solution (PMS): A solution that connects to products via PLC to collect and monitor information such as performance and operating status, providing integrated management and control of products sold around the world
We introduced this two-solution lineup.

EMS (Energy Management System)

– Energy Management Solution (EMS): 2018 was a year in which energy consumption and the green energy industry drew much attention. We introduced a solution in which Thingplus smartly provides power consumption data along with electrical safety information (overload, leakage current, etc.), power quality information (power factor, frequency, etc.), and peak management (demand power management), as well as the status and current condition of ESS and PV systems.

Smart Agriculture

– Farm Management Solution (FMS): Continuing from last year, we introduced our smart farm solution built on long-range, low-power LoRaWAN devices. It offers monitoring with temperature, humidity, CO2, light, and soil moisture sensors, and can control farm equipment based on specific values from the monitored sensors. It is already in use not only at multiple sites in Korea but also in Japan.

Smart Building

–  Building Management Solution (BMS): Using low-power LoRaWAN, it can be easily installed even in high-rise or expansive buildings and spaces. We introduced a wide range of building solutions, from indoor environment monitoring (temperature, humidity, CO2, fine dust, ultrafine dust) and linked control of air conditioners and other equipment, to security features that raise alerts for intrusion and fire (PIR, door/window, smoke). We also shared with many attendees our hope that these Thingplus building solutions will spread to diverse spaces such as shopping centers and daycare centers.

Right as the exhibition opened, VIPs visited our booth, including Min Wongi, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT. A brief presentation showing some of the vertical solutions built on Thing+ was given alongside our ecosystem partner showcase.
