Hansung University’s Division of Creative Talent Hosts Imagination Talk and Social Day Events<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Creating a venue for communication through in-person meetings between juniors and seniors<\/h4>\n

First-year students talk with second-year seniors at the Social Day event.<\/p>\n[University News Network, reporter Youngeun Cho] On the 18th of last month, Hansung University (President Sanghan Lee) held the 7th Imagination Talk (Part 1) and the 2nd Social Day (Part 2) for students of its Division of Creative Talent in the main auditorium of Naksan Hall.<\/p>\n

The Division of Creative Talent is a program in which students enroll without belonging to a specific major or college and without any division between humanities and sciences. During their first year of university life, they explore their aptitudes and experience a variety of academic fields, and before entering their second year they choose two major tracks suited to their aptitudes and career goals, unrestricted by college boundaries.<\/p>\n

Hansung University organized this event to help first-year students in the Division of Creative Talent understand the available major tracks and make well-informed choices of two of them.<\/p>\n

With 230 first-year students and 80 second-year seniors taking part, the event was designed so that first-year students could explore major tracks with the benefit of their seniors’ advice, while cultivating a sense of community and collaborative activity among classmates.<\/p>\n

Imagination Talk has been held quarterly since 2017 and has now reached its seventh edition. The deans of the Division of Creative Talent and the university’s four colleges personally explain to students the characteristics of the major tracks currently offered and the criteria for choosing among them.<\/p>\n

Daliworks CEO Soonho Lee also delivered a special lecture on the theme ‘Future Technologies That Benefit the World and the Talent They Require (Internet of Possibilities).’<\/p>\n

Imagination Talk was followed by the 2nd Social Day event. The college deans, faculty advisors, and students from each major who attended talked with the first-year students of the Division of Creative Talent about the various fields of study they had experienced during the first semester, offering generous advice and encouragement to help them choose their majors well as they move into their second year.<\/p>\n

Dean Eunkyoung Seo said, “I hope this event proves a great help to our first-year students in exploring and choosing their major tracks, and that these in-person meetings with seniors become an opportunity to communicate, exchange information, and share with one another.”<\/p>\n
